Al Fresco
While I was out today running last minute errands for our trip (we leave in 5 days!!!) I stopped into REI to pick up a small SIGG water bottle to bring with me as well as one of those neoprene insulator pouches with a strap so I can hang it off my camera bag or my messenger bag I also picked up this incredible cute little case.
Can you guess what it is?
More photos and a description below.
It is the worlds cutest travel picnic set!
When we travel we like to stop in local shops and pick up a bit of this, a nibble of that, some cheese, some pate and eat as we travel around rather than always stopping somewhere for lunch.
It's always been tough in a rental car with no comforts of home, hoping the cheese monger or local shop has plastic utensils or buying a knife to cut cheese and then leaving it there when we come home.
This is the perfect solution. Small enough to fit in the suitcase, it measures 11 X 7 X 2.5 and has everything you need for a picnic on the road.
Two wine glasses, a bottle opener/corkscrew, a full set of metal knives, forks and spoons, a CHEESE KNIFE(!). A small cutting board (on the right) and underneath the board two plates, a cloth to spread out and a small condiment set.
It is called En Route and you can find it at REI and other locations.
I am getting ridiculously excited. Ahhhhh vacation.

How freaking adorable! I am envious of both the trip and the pate. Have a wonderful time!

I cannot thank you enough for featuring this in your post! We leave for a long road trip in 41 days (yep, couldn't have done this last year when gas was $2.50/gallon) and this is just what we need for food-stops. Absolutely perfect! I'm heading to REI later this week. THANKS!!!

That is so unbelievably awesome, utterly perfect for the sort of journey you'll be having.
It's exactly the perfect solution. I'm tempted to get one, too!
