all spit shiny and new

Well today was the first day of Culinary school and I just got home smelling like a fryer and smeared in pate a choux with a tin foil pouch full of eclair, a slice of gougere, a few cheese beignets, some dauphine potatoes choux and a dessert beignet with orange cream.  Brian of BKO online  and I have a lovely website devoted to our year in cooking school.  I shan't write about it all here, so if you wish to tune in and read the ' he said, she said ' of our experiences it will all be located over here at Out of the Frying Pan.
Right now my body is screaming for a really long shower and pooper is looking at me with that 'I need a walk' face so you may have to check back later to see what I have to say about today.

But it was oh so, OH SO, OH SO much fun....

Song of the day

Oh, oh, oh! I am SO excited for you, I am hopping up and down in my chair.

Wrap up the feeling of this day nicely, and tie it with a pretty bow, so that when the days come where you wonder why you ever started on this path, you can unwrap it and remember, and rekindle the enthusiasm.

And one day when a famous magazine interview you as the master (mistress?) of a generation, you can dust it off, untie the bow again, and share it with enthusiastic yet apprehensive newbies.

Best of luck!

Congratulations!

It's wonderful that you've made this new path and even better that it excites you. Best of luck all the way through!

First day of school jitters?

Awesome, Jo. Out of the Fyring Pan is a great read, and you continue to be my inspiration as I try to figure out what on earth it is I'll do when I leave this wretched desk job behind.

Glad to hear that you've enjoyed yourself. Are they choux swans in the picture?

They are indeed Mr. Mc Muffin.
And thank you for the kind words everyone.

Jo,
The first five lines of your blog I feel like reading with marbels in my mouth with all those French words, but I enjoy reading it nevertheless.
Isn't wonderful to be able to do what you love?
Congratulations and happy cooking.
