Signs of Hope
We interrupt our usual programming of snow, more snow, snow today and snow tomorrow and beating all records with possibly the 4th snowiest winter on record with the following hopeful announcement.
I know it is 13 degrees out and we haven't seen anything but white since around, say, late November but I heard my first sign of hope this morning. As I was getting out of bed, I heard a bird singing out front. Not chattering around the bird feeder, but actual 'Hey baby, wanna mate with me?', birdsong. Ladies and gentlemen, there is hope, Spring is under all that white somewhere.
You may now resume preparing to purchase all the bread and milk in a 100 mile vicinity, renting a stack of movies and dreading another weekend snowed in the house.

Please, oh please, send that snow out Washington state way. Our govenor just declared an official drought year for us (70% less snowpack than normal this winter). It's been up in the 70's for four weeks here now. We'll be living the desert life by July and I'm going to be thinking of your snowy winter.

Snow in March is depressing but then again not as bad as snow in April or say, May. I've had enough and I'm supposed to fly out to Maui tomorrow morning. Here in VT if the plane doesn't come in tonight, it doesn't go out tomorrow morning. Please....xxxfingersxxx

When you put it like that, a weekend snowed in sounds rather attractive. But dammit, the daffodils are out and it was a gloriously sunny day today over here. Sigh.
p.s. Love the new top of sidebar picture.

Apparently we're due to get a mini heatwave at the end of the week 18-20c. I tell you were are living in the end of times.
